"We are absolutely thrilled with the final product; initially it is
a wonderful home for us, and gives us more room and comfort than we ever
imagined. Even in the wet season here (Indonesia),
the boat is cool and spacious."
"The interior of the boat looks very classy, as we have carpeted the
entire floor except galley area, we have white walls with rattan lining
the sides half way up, and the roof is all lined, with plenty of teak trim
and even the saloon roof beams are varnished. It is most impressive!"
"Our first sail was very satisfactory, as even though we only had 8
knots of breeze we were pulling along very smoothly up to 6 knots. ---
the boat steered and tracked very straight, and went about very easily.
I was really impressed by the manouverability."
"You will be pleased to hear that the 1480 has been fully tested, and
passed without a hitch. .....Almost unbelievably on our trip from Bali
to Kupang in Timor we sailed straight into an off-season cyclone. Cyclone
Bonnie gave us a flogging ... The noises coming from under the bridge deck
where phenominal, and although the boat felt very responsive and comfortably
under control, I had to think if the boat was capable of handling the battering
from underneath. Next morning we anchored to the north of Kupang and I
immediately snorkeled around the hull, and was relieved to see not the
slightest of cracks or damage ..... tested!" (Well
done Rob and Family.)
